GREETINGS TO ALL COMRADES AND AUXILIARIES

As we arrive at the Mid Point for 2011 -2012 year, let’s again remind ourselves of why we joined this elite organization – “TO SERVE OUR VETERANS AND OUR VETERANS FAMILIES”.
As a TEAM our Department, Districts, Posts and members have served this goal very well.

State wide our TEAM has emphasized reasonable monthly membership target goals which help ensure that our Department reaches 100% in membership. We have been very successful with our current trends towards moving our Department back to the top. Remember that membership can positively affect all the other programs. Keep the enthusiasm going; and, continue to contact the unpaid members and develop new ways to welcome new vital members into our great organization.

Together Laura Love, Department President, and I have enjoyed many events at all levels. We appreciate the kind and warm hospitality and once again pledge to serve you with the best of our ability.

As this holiday season is upon us let’s always remember the Homeless Veterans. You can reach out to them with local “Stand Downs” that contribute to local shelters. They also fought for this country; and, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliaries must offer support for their rehabilitation back into the community.

In conclusion, we always need to remember our present day servicemen and women. Our organization remains a “Watch Dog” for all Veterans healthcare and other needs when the Veteran comes home. The Veterans of Foreign Wars actively pursues the protection of all our Veterans rights.

Let’s continue to “WALK THE TALK – SUPPORT OUR VETERANS”
